A Rambler Like Me

Just a dreary day / along the coast highway,
Hillsides sodden / skies of grey;
Can't see the mountains / can't see the sea,
This day was made for a rambler like me.

Down by the shore / as the tide rolls in,
I walk alone / thinking what has been;
My life's been good / I've some regret,
But I've still got a mountain to climb I ain't climbed yet.

Just a dreary day / along the coast highway,
Hillsides sodden / skies of grey;
Can't see the mountains / can't see the sea,
This day was made for a rambler like me.

Along the coastline / I hear a sound
In the grey-still morning / all around;
Love the way the ocean / speaks to me,
Tidepools ripple and set my spirit free.

Just a dreary day / along the coast highway,
Hillsides sodden / skies of grey;
Can't see the mountains / can't see the sea,
This day was made for a rambler like me.
