Just Listen
I've stilled myself upon a sundrenched shore
and heard the shreik
from distant birds
Until a time when I have filled my store
for now
And more than once between the seasons space
from shores I've come
returned and gone
To touch what forms within the ocean's grace
for now
I've seen change on the seam of land and sea
and listen to
a spoken wind
of memories and how things used to be
for now
But I'll try not to barrier my mind
when a distant
force has shown me
the oceans mood is going to be unkind
for now
So when I see it's time for me to be
on the edge of
the continent
I'll be enjoying what has fulfilled me
for now.
