Retrospect Off Broadway

Her breasts are filled with silicon,
So they say.
And sway
To the rhythm of her lips,
Her exaggerated hips
Made to woo impotent men
Into thinking it no sin
To harbor thoughts
Of what they ought
Not to dwell upon.

Yet, she moves upon the stage,
As on the printed page,
With the sexless ease of knowing it's a job.

To please her boss and do her best,
Chained to her job by silicone breasts.
Monthly checks to pay the bills
Maintaining wills
And youthful fame
Until the last lights
Dim her name
From the memory of stage,

As she settles middle aged
Into life of
Retrospect.
