Stubborn as an old tree stump,
Tenacious as a bulldog’s grip,

Yup, to be sure, Nanna had a grip
On Grandpa to say what you mean,
Mean what you say or get down off your stump

And stop caterwaullin’; raised a stump
Of pan handle (with overhead grip),
Figuratively poised to mean
